Fishing League Worldwide Bass Fishing League is keeping Barren River Lake busy over the next several days as 169 boats are on the water for a regional bass fishing tournament.

169 boats are in the tournament with two people in each — representing the highest ranked boaters and co-angler from the Buckeye, Great Lakes, LBL, and Michigan Bass Fishing League Divisions.

“They take the top 45 boaters, top 45 co-anglers and they take the top five winners of each individual tournament and then that’s how you qualify, you gotta be in the top 50 in your state,” says Guy Hammaker, a participant from Ohio.

Mike Hale, a FLW tournament director, gave 13 News information about the grand prize for this tournament.

“The boater will win a brand new Ranger boat fully rigged, and $20,000 and the co-angler will win a brand new fully rigged Ranger boat,” he says.
