The annual Cast ’N’ Blast event offering a bass fishing tournament, turkey hunt and a kids fishing rodeo will be held Saturday at Paris Landing State Park.
Festivities benefit the Henry County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
Although the entry deadline has already passed to enter the turkey hunt, anglers can still sign up for the bass fishing tournament. It will have a guaranteed first place payback of $2,000 plus a big bass prize of $250 for the angler who lands the lunker of the day.
The entry fee is $120 a boat.
A kids fishing rodeo is also part of the big day and youngsters falling in the 4-14 years age bracket are invited to participate. Hours of the rodeo are 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. It’s based at PLSP pavilion.
