ROANOKE, W.Va. — West Virginia’s bass fishing will be in the spotlight next spring when the new season of Major League Fishing debuts on the Outdoor Channel. Twenty-seven of the nation’s best and best known bass anglers spent six days on Stonewall Jackson and Summersville Lake in a made-for-tv fishing competition last week.

“The content is amazing. It’s great for the destination and the fishery because it’s all conservation based, all of the fish are immediately weighed and put back and it’s fun to watch because unlike other tournaments, you know what the score is right when it happens,” said Michael Mullone of Major League Fishing who spoke about the tour’s visit on a recent edition of West Virginia Outdoors.
