So it’s only fitting that a benefit bass fishing tournament will be held this Saturday for the Garrison High School teenager who tragically lost his life in a drowning accident on June 15 at Lake Murvaul.
The tournament will run from 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Lake Murvaul Marina at 638 FM 1234.
There is a $100 entry fee for two-man teams and signups are from 5-9 p.m. Friday night and 4 to 6 a.m. on Saturday. There will be guaranteed payouts for first through fourth place on stringers and first- and second-place on biggest bass.
The Panola County Fresh Water Supply District No. 1, which oversees Lake Murvaul, has donated the prize money so 100 percent of the entry fees will go to the Tenison family.
