It began it’s existence as the location of a whiskey distillery back in 1850. Eventually, civilization moved away from this lonely Missouri ghost town, but it’s now slowly becoming known as one of the best trout fishing spots in the Show Me State.
If you’ve never been to Jolly Mill, Missouri, it’s more than worthy to be added to your list of must-visit locations in the state. As Wikipedia remembers, Jolly Mill got its name due to the “unnaturally jovial disposition of the people who worked in and around the distillery”.
There’s not much left in Jolly Mill, Missouri, but what remains is special. The mill is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places.
