OCEAN SPRINGS, Mississippi — Cynthia Sutton, Executive Director of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce/Main Street, has been named to the Mississippi Main Street Association’s Board of Directors, representing District 1.
Sutton will serve as one of three district representatives, alongside Senatobia’s Jamie Sowell of District 2, and Booneville’s Lori Tucker of District 3. Sutton will serve a three-year term beginning in July.
Sutton has served as the chamber’s executive director since December 2015, when she was chosen to succeed longtime director Margaret Miller. Sutton had spent the previous nine years as the chamber’s Events Coordinator.
The Ocean Springs Main Street program is one of the 48 Designated Main Street programs and is part of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce organization. The Ocean Springs chamber has been operating since 1947 and as a Main Street organization since 1988.
