The final Wade Walters Memorial Bass Fishing Tournament will be held at Lake Dardanelle State Park on June 11.
The tournament, which has run for 10 years, hopes to end bigger and better than ever.
“My daughter and her husband run the tournament,” Wade’s mother, Susan Allen, said. “She has three kids, so we are going to make this the last one. This tournament is huge. We’ll have over 100 boats, and that takes a lot of work to put together. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed doing this, but I think it’s time to do something different, and I think the 10 year mark is a good time to do that.”
The tournament was put together in Walters’ memory following his tragic death nine years ago….
