CASPER, Wyo. — A Kids’ Fishing Day event will take place at Yesness Pond from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4. Saturday is also Free Fishing Day in Wyoming, allowing people to fish most places in the state without a license.
The Kids’ Fishing Day at Yesness Pond is for kids ages 14 and under, who must be accompanied by an adult, according to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. Game and Fish is stocking the pond with over 1,500 “catchable-sized” trout for the event, which is being hosted by the Community Recreation Foundation.
Goodie bags will be provided to participants, with registration starting at 9 a.m. at Yesness Pond, 4100 SW Wyoming Blvd. in Casper.
