New River Community College Educational Foundation is hosting a fishing tournament this month to benefit its Access to Community College Education (ACCE) program for Pulaski County students.

The 2022 Big ACCE Bass Fishing Tournament gets underway at 7:30 a.m., or first safe light, Oct. 15 at Claytor Lake State Park Boat Launch. Weigh-in is at 3 p.m.

Registrants are required to check in at the boat launch site prior to fishing. Registration begins at 6 a.m. tournament day; however, online registration is available at www.nr.edu/acce/bass.php through Oct. 13, and paper registration forms are available at Conrad Brothers Marine through Oct. 14.

All proceeds from the tournament benefit the Pulaski County ACCE program. ACCE is a public/private partnership that pays tuition for high school and home schooled students to attend NRCC debt-free for two years.
