Michael G. Kight, 74, of West Hurley, NY, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Westchester Medical Center. He was born August 25, 1947 in Kingston, NY, son of the late William and Betty Lee (VanKleeck) Kight. Mike was a graduate of Onteora High School and then went on to serve in the US Air Force from 1966 to 1988, retiring with rank of Chief Master Sargent. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was a member of the USAF Chief’s Association. After his retirement from the Air Force, Michael began to work for the NYC Department of Environmental Protection in Shokan, NY, where he worked for over 22 years, retiring as Regional Manger. He was a member of the Ulster County Traffic Safety Board, Woodstock American Legion, National Rifle Association, and was a founding member of the Southside Rod and Gun Club.
