The Johnston Peach Blossom Festival announced the winners of the Annual Bass Fishing Tournament, held as part of the festival on May 4. There were 24 teams participating.
First place team in the tournament was Jamie Gayle and Dustin Leopard with a total of 24.44 pounds. Second place was George Agner and Brock Pearson with a total of 22.56 pounds. Third place was Jim Bilbrey and Dave Hudson with a total of 19.62 pounds. Adult Big Fish Winner was George Agner and Brock Pearson with 7.7 pounds; second in the category was Weston Herlong and Logan Yonce with 6.56 pounds.
In the Youth under 14 category, first place was Sawyer Brown and Greyson Berry with a total of 10.9 pounds. Second place was Bentley Mattson and Tyler Rose with 10.06 pounds.
1st Place Youth Big Fish winner was Sawyer Brown and Greyson Berry with 2.96 pounds, and second place was Bentley Mattson and Tyler Rose with 2.62 pounds.
