The town of Vivian in North Caddo Parish is rolling out the red carpet for all comers for this year’s Louisiana Redbud Festival!
Though the actual “Redbud Day” won’t be until Saturday, March 18, when they’ll hold the Redbud Parade and many other activities, they’ve made the event several weeks long.
In fact, the actual Redbud Festival Carnival will run from Thursday, March 16 through Sunday, March 19.
Another of the big attractions this year will be the All Mule Rodeo. That will go down this Saturday, March 11, at 7:00 pm at the Vivian Rodeo Arena and boasts some zany events like the “Hyde Ride”, “Disco Bucket” and “Noodles of Fun.”
However, the event near and dear to local anglers will be the 2nd Annual Louisiana Redbud Team Bass Fishing Tournament slated for this Saturday, March 11 at Earl G. Williamson Park on Caddo Lake in Oil City, Louisiana.
