Georgia man sets new saltwater fish record

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — Check out this catch! A Georgia man recently set a new saltwater fishing record off the coast.

Last Friday, Brian Richburg, from Brunswick, caught a 9-pound, 6.24-ounce Queen Triggerfish!

“That’s a whole 2 pounds, and some change heavier than the previous record set just last month,” the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Coastal Resources Division wrote on social media.

DNR officials said Queen Triggerfish are known for their stunning colors and unique shape.
