Clemate “Matie” Bowshier – Union County Daily Digital

Clemate “Matie” L. Valandingham Bowshier, age 64, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his home following a long-term illness. He was a former associate of JD Equipment in Dublin. An outdoorsman, he loved hunting and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed making yearly salmon fishing trips to Michigan and held a state brown trout fishing record at Mad River in West Liberty. Since he was nine years old, he liked mushroom hunting. His sportsman talents were well-known by many people, young and old around many counties. He also had a love for playing the guitar and singing with friends and family. A 1976 graduate of Marysville High School, Matie liked making people laugh. He was one-of-a-kind and will be greatly missed.
