Bass fishing tournament to honor London, KY officer killed on duty

LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) – The London Police Department is hosting a fishing tournament to honor the memory of an officer killed in 2022.

The police department has collected donations for the Logan Medlock Memorial Bass Fishing Tournament that will be held on Saturday at the Grove Marina in Corbin.

Jamie Sloan, clerk and special events coordinator for the department, said a portion of the funds raised for the tournament will be donated to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the remainder will go to Medlock’s family.

Sloan said a constant stream of donations has come from businesses and community members in London, with well over 100 individual donations.

“We have been touched by how many people have reached out to us. It has been unreal how much this community has shown love to us. It has been amazing,” Sloan said.
