Have you ever been fishing with a bow? It’s quite a different experience from a rod and reel to say the least. One Missouri man used his bow and may have just shot himself not only a state record, but maybe even a world record fish.
The Missouri Department of Conservation shared the news of this big catch/shoot in a press release saying that Mitchell Dering of Fairdealing may have just landed his 3rd record fish. They say he was fishing/shooting at Duck Creek Ditch in the middle of March when he landed a 4 pound brown bullhead. To give you an idea how large this bullhead is, the previous record was a 2.7 pounder way back in 1994. That’s a true whopper.
Mitchell Dering must be quite the fisherman as the Missouri Department of Conservation says “he briefly held the state record for spotted gar back in 2019”. Nice.
