Mike was a devoted outdoorsman with a trophy wall to prove it. Getting his start at a young age by skipping school to go fishing with his friends, Mike went on to become a waterfowl guide on the Chesapeake Bay and highly enjoyed showing off his skills to clueless and wealthy businessmen that hired him.
In keeping with his love of the outdoors, Mike was also an avid boater and car enthusiast. Mike built many boats over the years ranging from simple river John boats to center console Carolina Skiffs. Although nothing quite compared to the yellow West Wind or the bright red and white Rinker with a gil bracket that was infamous on the Susquehanna River.
