CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon is donating a wild bison hunting license for the fourth year in a row to be raffled off in order to raise money for conservation.
“The bison is a stately symbol of Wyoming and a fitting hunt to raise money for conservation,” Gordon said in a Monday news release from the Wyoming Game & Fish Department. “I am pleased to once again offer this opportunity to residents who care so deeply for wildlife.”
The raffle is open to Wyoming residents eligible to hunt big game in the state. The winner will receive a 2022 wild bison hunting license, but will be responsible for purchasing other required stamps and applicable licenses, according to Game & Fish. Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition. The winner of the raffle will be announced June 15.
