JACKSON COUNTY, Mississippi — Three local residents had state fishing records certified by the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources — among a total of seven certified by the MDMR this month.

Blake Bosarge of Gautier set a state youth record using conventional tackle for Gag (Mycteroperca microlepis) with a 45-pound, 1.6-ounce catch.

Donald Bosarge II of Gautier set a state record using conventional tackle for Gulf Flounder (Paralichthys albaguttata) with a catch of 1 pound, 11.52 ounces.

Dyllan Camplejohn of Ocean Springs set a saltwater fishing record in the all-tackle category for Almaco Jack (Seriola rivoliana) with a catch of 36 pounds, 3.2 ounces.
