ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) — It was a good weekend to get outdoors. On a nice Sunday, different area organizations did their part to get all ages outside. The goal is to make the town a cleaner place, one trash bag at a time.
Helping out is something Hosanna Lutheran Church is familiar with.
“Normally every year around Labor Day, we have a big ‘God’s Work, Our Hands Day’ and do a number of projects to help out a church or the community,” said church member and Rochester resident Beth Wiegland.
This year, a few church members and their families decided to cleanup some Rochester parks. Sunday, they were at Three Rings Park.
“I also think the park system in Rochester is important and special,” Wiegland said. “We can do our part to help make it better and more attractive for families and everyone.”
Another local club had a similar idea.
