Annual Big Bass Tournament on May 6 will stay at Yarborough Landing

UPDATE: 6:04 p.m. Cooper Tire Big Bass Tournament launch will be at the Yarbourough Landing, despite an earlier report stating it would be moved. 

Construction was going to move the launch, but a committee decided to delay the construction for the tournament.

The eighth annual Cooper Tire Big Bass Fishing Tournament scheduled for May 6 has changed locations at Millwood Lake.

The event’s launching, which was originally going to take place at Yarborough Landing, will now be at the both the lake’s Millwood State park and Jack’s Isle.

“Yarborough Landing is slated for a major construction project that will start this week,” said Dylan Hann of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. “Monies are now available and they have to get the project completed before the budget runs out in July.”

Cooper Tire tournament coordinator Kyle Thomas said he understood the importance of the upgrades and needing to change locations.
